I told my sister about what I have been eating and she became concerned. She said if I keep eating all of this bacon that I'm going to suffer a stroke. I am 38 weigh roughly 215 and stand 5'8". I currently do notice that I fit in my clothes much better and feel great.
My question is, should I stop consuming so much bacon?

Bacon is not the problem. The problem is if that is all you are eating. Try using the free application CRON-O-Meter. This will help you track what you eat. In the profile section you can add yourself to two studies Mercola Study and Grassroots Health. In the Diary Tab in the Calories Summary you can check "Show Full Macronutrient" and in the drop down for Dynanic Macronutrient Targets select High Fat Ketogenic. The nice thing about this software is it calculates for you dynamically your targets for energy, protein, net carbs, fats. It also gives you very helpful and easy to use (what looks like a car speedometers) 4 speedometer looking dials of important nutrient balances. They are: Omega-6:Omega-3, Zinc:Copper, Potassium:Sodium, Calcium:Magnesium. Again, the concern with eating only bacon would be too much Omega-6 (out of balance with your Omega-3 intake). If all you are eating is bacon, you are taking in too much protein (which turns into glucose). You're getting too much sodium and not enough potassium. You're not getting enough magnesium. The reason you could suffer a stroke is not because you are eating bacon but because you are not keeping your minerals in proper balance. Magnesium and Potassium are key to regulating your heart rhythm. Too much Omega-6 is not good for your vascular system. I love bacon, and I do eat it quite a bit. I love bacon strips with a nice 2 egg omelet with 2 oz. of cheddar cheese and some slices of raw tomato. Try to eat 2 cups of greens (spinach, kale, salad greens) to help out with your minerals. Try to keep your proteins to .5-1.0 grams of protein per lean body weight. This link is so you know about BMI en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_mass_index and also extoxnet.orst.edu/faqs/dietcancer/web2/twohowto.html. Once you figure out your BMI, you can figure out how much protein you should limit yourself to. Hope all this helps you.
