Hi all,
I`m new to this forum, so a very quick introduction - I`m an entrepreneur based in Japan developing smart sensors for advanced ketone detection. I got interested in this area after using the keto diet to lose weight, and also because some of my friends are Type 1 diabetics. I`d be very grateful to ask just two questions of anyone who does or has ever checked their ketones!
1. If you *don`t* check your blood ketones, why? Is it primarily because of cost reasons, pain, or because you generally know that you`re in ketosis anyway and don`t see the need to check?
2. If there was a convenient way to test the same ketones as a blood reader (BHB) through your urine for significantly less cost, would that be of interest? Why/why not?
Many thanks,
Daniel

I use a diabetes tester to check mine (only just started). I think it's way better than urine because it stores the data and it's accurate, it's not excess ketones being flushed away.
I don't like it because if needs blood and because the test strips are really expensive.
Can you develop a way to push it to your skin and test?
