Hi,
I started the keto diet almost three weeks back and have consistently stuck to less than 15g of carbs a day. This is because I used to weigh 234 lbs and wanted to get down to 180 lbs, and fast. I have accounted for every stray gram of carb, and keep my protein intake at around 100g and deriving 70% of my calories from fat. My calorie deficit is 1000. I do cardio for 45 minutes, 6 days a week which includes a moderate to low intensive workout (subjectively, I am quite heavy in the chest and hip area)
I lost 8 lbs in the first two weeks, which I assume is mostly water weight. But my weight loss has seemingly stopped. Is there any reason this could happen, or should I not expect weight loss rather expect a change in shape?
I haven't checked if I'm in ketosis yet, I'm trying to source a ketone meter, but my diet should indicate that I'm probably in ketosis already.
I calculated my protein intake based on an assumption that I have 35% body fat and I should consume 0.8 to 1g of protein per pound of lean body mass.
