After reading so many positive things about the Ketogenic Diet, I decided to try it. My goal was just to reduce around 5% bodyfat to look conditioned and toned.
I researched a lot so I knew what I was starting off with. However in just one week I've GAINED inches, and the lower waist at the back has accummulated fat which I never had before. My pants are tighter and my arms have gained a whole inch !!
I used to eat high protein, low-carb, low-fat before I started Keto. Here are some more details about me.
Age 42, 5ft3", 126lbs (before keto), 28% BF
I have a sedentary desk job working from home, but have always done light gym 3X week/ (30 mins light cardio, 20 mins weights)
I'm watching very closely what I eat using MFP. 3 litres of water per day. ZERO cheats for 5 days straight.
An example of 1 day diet on Keto is as follows. Sorry for the format, Ive copied and pasted it from MFP. The numbers that follow after each food are in this order:

Please DO NOT tell me Im eating too little. I have an extremely sedentary job, and most days am glued to my desk from morning till nite. Ive never eaten more than 1000 Calories and my weight had remained stable over a long time. Also I am only 5ft 3, and petite So PLEASE take that into consideration before you tell me to eat more.
MY QUESTION is this and I would be so grateful if someone with experience could tell me if its normal to gain fat and inches in the initial week of the diet. I am very nervous to continue as I dont want to have the opposite effect of what I was trying to achieve (fat loss). PLEASE HELP !
