Hi, I am new to the boards here. I am looking for some input before I give up on this weightloss attempt. I have been on this ketogenic eating plan for a week and a half. I have not entered ketosis according to the strips and I have not lost any weight. I have maintained but not lost. I feel I must be doing something wrong and am looking for some input that might set me on the right track.
Actually, my husband and I started this together and he has lost 6 pounds so far. This is why I still believe in the plan, just feel I am making mistakes or maybe I am one of the few that this won't work for.
An example of a days eating:
Breakfast: Bacon/Eggs cooked in butter Coffee, Water throughout the day. I usually skip lunch because I am not hungry for a good bit of the day. I do eat a handful of almonds though. Dinner: About 3 ounces of meat - usually chicken, lastnight it was steak and usually zucchini cooked in butter. - I sometimes add in an avocado and I also once a day add a tbsp of coconut oil to my coffee.
Any advice?
