Went out last night with a young lady, first date I've gone on since I broke up with last GF in Dec 2010. After that I gained 30lbs, then lost 105 thanks to keto.
My confidence is not what I would call super-high, but I definitely felt I could handle the situation well enough.
The girl is a burlesque dancer I've seen dance a few times but never had the courage to approach in the club. I hung out with her and her friend a few hours last Friday after an event we all attended. Then yesterday I asked if she wanted to go hit up a small burlesque show with me. She said she had homework to do, but she came out so, so it seems like she wanted to be there.
I wouldn't say the date went stellar, but I've had many that have gone much worse. It was a bit loud at times so hard to converse.
She stayed until the end, and didn't flirt or leave with any other guys, so right there it makes it improvement over many of the dates I've been on in the past. We'll see how this goes.
