yeah i feel much better too when i don't eat poorly, so extended cheats make me thankful when i go back to eating cleaner. lyle mcdonald has some convincing arguments about the benefits of breaks from dieting, especially when you get smaller and smaller. even if you did LCHF but increased your calories to maintenance for a bit, it would shake things up.

Yesterday had a big carby breakfast (big omelet, HB, toast, CB hash), then went out for a 15-mile walk. Felt great at the end too. Hopefully the 4 cheat meals in the last 5 days will be enough to cause a shakeup. Now I'm back to LCHF and hoping to see results. I know I'm impatient, but I am ever hopeful.

Well damn, I did it again. Am on vacation, went to my favorite pizza place as a cheat. Intended to stop there. Then I got a call from my best friend's brother, who said my bud had a brain aneurysm last night. He was just diagnosed with leukemia last week, and is 500 miles away. I ate at the buffet last night and for today's breakfast, the carbyest foods known to mankind. I've probably had 9000 calories in the last 24 hours. That's gonna come back to bite me, I know. Waiting to hear when I can come visit him, but in the meantime, am battling nervous eating.

Well it's always give and take, right? Was doing well, making lots of new friends, going on many dates...then my best friend gets diagnosed with leukemia, and died in 1 month's time. The stress and overall "fuckit" attitude of the last month has made me unkind to my body. I've been eating like shit for a week solid, and not much better before that.
Going to start again tomorrow, get moving back in the right direction.

Hi all, first time posting. I need some advice about my lack of weight loss/inches lost. The first time I started on keto I had major major gall bladder attacks and had to come off keto for a while until I finished doing 4 rounds of liver/gall flushing until no more stones came out. Once I was satisfied the stones were gone, I came back to keto. The first time round I religiously counted calories and tried to not go over 1500cal per day, according to the keto calculator for my height/weight/weight loss goals. I was hungry all the time and 1500 calories didn't seem to keep me satisfied. I also did not notice any weight/inches loss. Now this second time round on keto, I don't count calories and I don't seem to get hungry. I usually eat 3 eggs with cream and butter for breakfast, coffee with cream and don't really need to eat until dinner where I have a pork loin with a cream sauce and spinach. If I snack, it's usually macadamia nuts. If I do take a lunch meal to work, it's usually half an avocado mixed through a heaped tablespoon of sour cream. I just want to know what is a realistic time frame to start losing weight and noticing results. I read some posts that talk about fat melting off people within a week and other people where it takes 6months to notice any changes. I must admit, the only thing I have noticed so far is where my fat stores are, it does feel a lot softer and my cellulite has actually reduced. My thighs and stomach don't feel like 'hard' fat anymore. In terms of scales and inches, absolutely zero change in one month. I need your honest, proven experience advice with what I might be doing wrong. Should I start introducing fasting or are my results expected for one month?
