I'm dying my hair tonight. "Splat! Red" Which translates to: MOTHERF*CKING RED. If I have one regret in life other than reaching obese status, it's not being born a redhead.

You weren't born a redhead? WHAT, were you thinking?

Yup. I should have had better genes.
(At this point I'd like to point out I was joking about it being a regret. I know science, I assure you.)

I used to all the time, but this time I gave it a good 6 months to rest. The only time I ever messed it up was trying to go from black to blonde. That.... well, never do that at home. My hair ended up 6 very unappealing shades of orange, and there wasn't a damn thing I could to about it. Cost me $180 to get it fixed.
The wildest thing I ever did was hot pink on top with electric blue peeking through underneath.

yeah, black to blonde is definitely something you shouldn't ever attempt at home it's funny that you mentioned dying your hair though. the other forum i moderate on proboards is a hair group! so when i was in my early 20s i went through a large spectrum of hair colours. i've been purple, bright red, and had turquoise, pink, purple and black in my hair at several points in time. now i'm just boring and have blonde or brown in it.

I'm not at all good at fixing my hair, and I'm not super big in to all the keeping it healthy stuff. I just like to be topped with crazy colors My mom never taught me how to curl my hair or anything like that, I'm completely in the dark about it. I have a straightener with a flippy attachment thing, it's all I use. One time, the woman who used to cut my hair (A family friend/beautician)was super busy and she asked if I'd blow dry my own 'do. I agreed and got to it - she came back over, watched me for a few, and asked me who had taught me how to blow dry hair. I replied, "No one." She said, "That explains it." So link me! Maybe I'll learn some handy things.

ill send you the link in a private message. we stopped accepting new members a long time ago because the group became less about hair and more about personal stuff ...i don't know how much you'll actually learn about hair at this point, but we do always give advice when people ask. i might have to accept you as a member, so lemme know if/when you join.

Learning to program in Python for funsies. This is actually really fun when it's not frustrating, plus it gives me an excuse to get out of sweeping and dusting.

My husband bought me a pound of bacon. That guy knows his stuff - I was certain he was going to buy me a box of chocolates and try to convince me to cheat for one day. I'm proud of him. Happy Valentine's to you, too
