Hi! I have been LC since April 7th 2011 but on my 2 year anniversary I kicked it up to keto. I have lost 11 more pounds since the 1st of this month. ;D
I have a facebook page called Lusty Low Carb and I look forward to sharing information with everyone and recommending this site. I am also on MFP which is where I learned about this site.
As of today I am 67 LBS away from goal.

Hi everyone! I'm sorry to jump in and ask a question right away but I really need some advice. I'm so glad I've found a forum where I can talk to people about keto! I'm really confused about it tbh! I've been on the keto diet now for 6 days, I have stuck to it religiously and my ketostix is dark purple everyday, so if anyone can tell me why I haven't dropped a single pound I would be very grateful! Aarrrggghhhh!

Hello everyone. My name is Lauren and I'm trying this keto thing out! After years of "yo-yo" dieting, I've never found anything that worked for me. I've been doing keto for a mere two weeks now and have dropped 9 pounds already, though like most diets I know the first few weeks are usually more dramatic than those following. I'm not expecting to continue losing at this rate (although that would be awesome). I am tired of the losing and gaining, losing and gaining, and hoping the success stories I've heard about keto will help keep me on track with this. Luckily (did I say luckily?) I've recently developed a severe gluten sensitivity and can no longer eat a lot of the quick carb foods I would normally resort to grabbing. I figure since I have to give up wheat products anyway, why not try keto? The more I learn, the more I like it. My biggest issue is that I'm a lover of fruit and yogurt, both of which have a good amount of carbs. It's been the hardest thing to give up. Nothing says breakfast to me like a handful of strawberries, a scoop of yogurt and a splash of almond milk in a blender. I'm getting used to eggs and meats though, it's going to take a while. On that note, I find most of the foods I eat repetitive, and am trying to mix things up with spices and find different recipes. If anyone has any good sources or wants to message me some info on the best way to stick to it and not get into a rut, I would love any help I can get. My boyfriend thinks this is a phase, but I really want to keep with it. Thanks in advance!
